September 24, 2008 · 8 Comments

No loans because your a minority.  Work hard and you will get a loan..SIMPLE

Stop handouts

Stop bending over for non-Americans.  No help, no special favors and no taking away from America to give to people that HATE America.

No section 8 housing

No housing maniacal criminals

Vote out EVERYONE in Congress and start over

Vote out every Judge and start over

Anybody that was ever a hippie in the 60’s, a protestor or Jane Fonda lover cannot hold office.

Anybody that believes a tree, bush or bird is more important than Human beings cannot hold office.

Thin the herd of slick con-men………………………and start over.

I have to say, I like what you write. Although, not letting ex-hippies hold an office might be slightly controversial.

I’m with RILEY, you can’t judge a book by it’s cover… I AM LIVING PROOF… a smart person NEVER stops learning, and sometimes changes opinions as they “mature”. THAT’S part of “aging gracefully”… Other than THAT, I LOVE WHAT YOU WRITE… LOL…

I respectfully disagree with you Budman.

I have been kept alive and un-harmed because I have judged books by their covers.

In my opinion that is why we are in the mess we are in today. Too many people shut down natural GOD-given instincts for the feel good political correctness.

You are correct that smart people never stop learning but since we are talking about the Government hacks I guess that is a moot point too.

You sir might be living proof of many things….but a hippie you ain’t!

Judge a few books once in a while – you would be suprised how much crap you can avoid in your life by just cutting to the chase.

LOL… TRUST me, I wasn’t talking about the GOVERNMENT, I was referring to ME… What I LOOK like, and how I FEEL, are incongruous… I kind of “enjoy” it that way, you “pull” a LOT of information and “truth” out of people, when they “ASSUME” you feel a certain way… As for the “political scene”, it’s one big “CESSPOOL”! LOL…

Hey COWG, come to think of it, you’re RIGHT. Upon “reflection” I think I have never been a “hippie” (LOL), on the INSIDE! Seeee, I’m STILL learning! Later, THE BUDMAN

Sounds like a good plan to me! But you KNOW that libtards will never go for any of it.

“Too many people shut down natural GOD-given instincts for the feel good political correctness.”

It took me a long time to let go of my politically correct shunning of my gut instincts. I shed that shell a long time ago due to the realities happening in my life. My instincts have always been right. Now I allow them to keep me safe.

Special programs meant mainly for blacks or others who don’t deserve the help are ruining our country. I am not opposed to helping those who truly cannot do for themselves. The majority of people who receive loans they cant pay back, use most of the welfare in our country and other benefits similar CAN do for themselves but don’t because our nation has allowed them to depend on things they don’t deserve. Its time for it all to stop!

I’m one of those ex-hippies. I’m also a Vietnam vet. And I can’t hold office???? What you propose is simply silly. Every American has not only the right to hold office but a duty and many should be coming forward to serve in order to improve things.
Bush, Cheney or Rowe weren’t hippies (heck they wouldn’t have survived on a working commune as everyone worked hard on those places) and they have done more to destroy this country then all the hippies in the world. Shouldn’t we instead look at character? What about the fact that Bush who didn’t even fulfill his entire weekend warrior duties and would be parading around in heels and fishnet stockings had his unit been deployed only once (not to mention the 3 and 4 times many of the vets I talk with at the VAMC have endured)? Or Cheney who got deferment after deferment and then stated we go to war with the army we have not the one we wished we had and condoned torture of American Citizens just because they were of Arab descent?
First, Section 8 housing isn’t just for poor people it’s for disabled people including veterans, people injured on the job but screwed out of any benefits by the insurance company, women who’s husbands left them with no money but all the kids…many of these people work hard at jobs but can’t afford housing on the wages they are paid. Here in Grand Junction a 1 bedroom apartment without utilities is out of reach for many hard working families.
And what exactly is a handout? The medical benefits we were promised when we enlisted? The GI bill???
What about the Income Tax deductions for having 15 kids…is that a handout?
Handouts are necessarily bad. Some handouts help society (IE: the Pell grants that help kids get a good education, VISTA’s who volunteer to work in areas to make things better is a government funded program…there are all kinds of “hand outs”) and there is nothing wrong with a helping hand…..we are one of the few countries in the world that penalize people for being poor. I don’t mind helping people (it’s one of the reasons I spent my time in the military {I feel everyone should have to serve} and why I spent 3 years as a VISTA {Volunteer in Service To America, the domestic peace corps})
I’m not a liberal or a conservative. I dislike both parties pretty much the same and dislike most politicians who suck the life blood from our nation and it’s people. I am an Independent who actually researches all sides to various issues and the people (although I’m beginning to think many don’t really qualify as people because they are simply walking money grabbers) who run. My ballot is often a mixture of political “types” and parties.
How come we don’t do anything about the real handouts that don’t benefit society? The pork bills or even the bills that have so much crap added to them you can’t tell what is being voted on. what abut politicians who vote on a bill without reading and worse still understanding it (the patriot bill comes to mind) or bills pushed through quickly because we can’t afford to wait (this newest bailout bill is an example of pork and rushing) The real handouts are the obscene amounts our “leaders” are paid for doing a piss poor job. There is no accountability they get raises every year no matter what. There is no black and white in this world only shades of gray.

To CHARLI, thank you for your service and sacrifice, during a VERY difficult time for our country. I, like you, served during the Viet Nam Era, except YOU are the hero, for having to physically BE there. I was in the Navy at that time, both in South America, and The “Med”, not exactly “danger zones”… I (more than most) realize your “TRUE” sacrifice, and the danger that you lived everyday. I seem to view things in the same light as you. Let’s just hope for ALL our sakes, we pull out of this current state of affairs, really SOON! Thanks again for your service… THE BUDMAN
