The Cantankerous Old White Guy

Sad state of affairs

I saw on the news that pawn shops are buying more then ever.  Men and women are selling things like rings, watches and DVD players, just to buy gas.

What then?  After you sell everthing you still have to buy gas.

Please stop worrying about who you’re going to vote for on American Idol and start thinking about WHO you are going to vote for in November.

We have been apathetic for too long and now it is getting to a critical point in our society.  Teach your kids to be self-sufficient and decent human beings.

Now is the time for real change in our country and we won’t get it with Obama.  We will change America by changing us.

I want a world we can walk in without fear.   I want to greet people without being robbed and help someone on the side of the road without a care to my safety or my families’ safety.  I doubt it will happen, but it is a nice thought.

When I was growing up we were protected by laws that punished.  Not now.  We have the ever present revolving door policy in the justice system.  Some people have it bred into their way of life to glorify being a criminal.  It is not cool and they will miss out on a great deal.  Too bad they are not the type that reads blogs.

All things are cyclical.  The question is: How long do the people born in the 60’s have left to live , or will we be dead in the ground before it all turns around?

I would like to see it happen before it is too late for me…how about you?
